Meet our Ambassadors

Mari Durwood-Akhurst
I am a Paralympic Bronze Medalist and a European Silver Medalist in Para Dressage. I now firmly have my eyes set on the LA 2028 Paralympics. I also have a World Record on the rowing machine for 5k for my classification and my age group and have won two medals representing Wales at the Home International (Para Rowing). I really enjoy being an Ambassador for Arctic One and sharing the work that this wonderful charity does.

Hannah Moore
I did my first triathlon at the Arctic One Tri & Para Tri festival in May 2017 just 10 months after the amputation of my right leg below the knee as a challenge to myself. I fell in love with the sport of triathlon, started training more seriously and first got selected to represent Great Britain a year later in May 2018. Since then I have gone on to compete and win medals at many paratriathlon events all over the world and most recently winning a bronze medal Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. I am still actively competing in paratriathlon and hope to qualify for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games.
I am very proud to be an ambassador for Arctic One as it was the very start of my journey into para sport. It helped me meet many other para athletes and has enabled me to have amazing experiences and opportunities through the sport.

Matt Hamilton
Hi! I'm Matt, and I'm a Para Snowboard Racer. I've been an ambassador for Arctic One for many years now and I'm proud to be a part of an organisation that has grown to help so many people grow and participate in sport.

Euan Murray
I’m really happy to be an Arctic One ambassador.
My sprinting is going well and I’m focusing on 100m and 200m. My classification is T64.
I was lucky enough to be selected for the Youth Talent Programme this year and I attend camps in Birmingham and Loughborough with other athletes- para and regular.
In June I will race in Paris at an athletics Grand Prix where I will represent England. This will be my second international competition. I’m hoping to get q personal best this season of under 12 seconds for 100m.
I am grateful to Arctic One for getting me into athletics through the Para Triathlons which I loved competing in! They were always such good fun and a great family day out!

Scott Richardson
As well as participating in regular (non-adaptive) golf competitions, including captaining my local Club's team in local competitions, I also enjoy disabled golf events, playing all over the world. In recent years I discovered SpeedGolf and was proud to be the world's first disabled golfer and establish an 'adaptive' record. I am also delighted to support the wonderful Arctic One Foundation in their activities and fundraising.
